Question:
When I go to uninstall the software, I get error 2753, The file is not marked for installation. How can I fix this error, so that I can uninstall the software?
Answer:
This error is typically due to trying to uninstall a software that has been partially installed. Users in the past have resolved this error by doing the following:
- Repair the .Net Framework: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135
- Run ccleaner to clean the registry
- Run this tool to uninstall the software: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
- Before reinstalling the software, make sure the User Access Control (UAC) is turned all the way down.
