Question:
When importing a file through the Text Import Wizard, the preview doesn't show the correct formatting and there is odd text appearing. Cannot select multiple columns to bring in the information to a surface.
Answer:
This is occurring because the file format is not recognized. In this situation, the file selected to import through the Text Import Wizard was a Microsoft Excel .xlsx format. The text import wizard cannot read this specific format so the file must be exported from Excel as a Comma Separated Value (.CSV) or Text file (.TXT) file so the import wizard can read in the ASCII information.
