Problem:
I am trying to load InRoads ALG file in ProjectWise and receiving a message "Unable to lock file". The file does not open. I can export the file and open locally, but it does not work when I import the file back to ProjectWise.
Solution:
Go to Tools < Application Add-ins. Check to make sure you have "Variable Manager" toggled on.
Go to Tools > Variable Manager> Command Behavior, ensure that"Geometry- Alternate Workflow with ProjectWise" is selected. This command will automatically check-out and check-in the ALG and should resolve this issue.
